The bbPress folks have thoughtfully “branched” bbPress so we’ll still enjoy all the features of 0.8.3 with some nice improvements come March 10th, 2008 (coordinated with the WordPress 2.5 release)
- Enhanced installer
- RSS feeds for both TOPICS and POSTS (not just posts) on forums, latest
- RSS feeds now use real slugs
- WordPress Integration support “out of the box” (no plugins needed)
- Usernames with spaces, etc. supported (to match WordPress but not I18N)
- Password cookie change to match WordPress 2.5
- Akismet spam and Bozo functions now act like plugins and are disable-able
