bbPress 0.9 is now finally available to the public:

Highly recommended. Remember if you are integrating that WordPress 2.5 is required for the new secure cookie method (or use the bbPress plugin to force the old cookie method).

The bbPress folks have thoughtfully “branched” bbPress so we’ll still enjoy all the features of 0.8.3 with some nice improvements come March 10th, 2008 (coordinated with the WordPress 2.5 release)

• Enhanced installer
• RSS feeds for both TOPICS and POSTS (not just posts) on forums, latest
• RSS feeds now use real slugs
• WordPress Integration support “out of the box” (no plugins needed)
• Usernames with spaces, etc. supported (to match WordPress but not I18N)
• Password cookie change to match WordPress 2.5
• Akismet spam and Bozo functions now act like plugins and are disable-able

(to be updated after I talk to Sam and Michael some more…)

bbShowcase.org is a demonstration of what you can do with bbPress.
(This website however is not officially part of the bbPress project)

This is simply an independent showcase and “testing grounds”
for my own plugins and those of other developers.
