    Hi ck,

I have a new forum 09.4. when tested a few weeks ago with a different name and email human test work fine. I have no users yet, but several views. When I test registration today I kept receiving the human''s only message. I deactivated the plugin and still receive the humans only message.

Should I reinstall human test? The site is http://beyondbeliefcommunity.com/bbpress

Another quick question: What plugin do you use to get the in the bottom of your forum i.e. users online, bots, guest, etc.

    Thanks for your help.

Most people that seem to have a problem with Human Test discover that their host was not properly supporting sessions. Sometimes this is after the host upgraded PHP or other changes.

You might want to ask your host if they changed anything recently and if sessions are working properly.

Also, think about what other plugins or changes you may have made since you installed Human Test.

The info at the bottom of the page is from Mini-Track but I have stopped development on it for now and it's buggy. In the meanwhile you can try Members Online and Mini-Stats:

Thanks ck, I'll ask my host, A2, and start deactivating plugins and report back.

    Hi ck,

It looks like the problem is with Validator for bbPress. After going through all of my plugins when this one is activated it causes registration as non-human. Does that sound correct to you and has anyone else reported this.

    I do have WP 2.7.1 & bbPress 09.0.4 integrated with Anne's plugin
A2 hosting- Linux, Apache 2.2, PHP Version 5

I have many of your plugins active, they are:
    bbP signatures
    admin instant menus
    hidden forums
    human test
    bbp polls
    forum last poster
    bbp smiles
    post count plus
my views module - started/participated topics
    unread post
    my views
    post edit look behind
    bb topic views
    my views module-most/least views
    bozo users
    my views polls
    topic icons
    instant password
    mini stats
    members online
    my views module-most/least post
    admin can post anything
    my views installed/available plugins
    all settings
    mass edit
    hidden forums tag filter
    my views statistics
    edit history
    akismet
    new user notification email

    Hi ck,

    No, it is this one: Validator for bbPress;

_ck_ "Definitely make sure you are using the newest Human Test.

If you are, and they are bypassing it, I need to know so I can break out the next level of protection.

I have not tried this plugin but it might help somewhat:

    http://bbpress.org/forums/topic/new-stop-forum-spam-api-plugin-block-fake-user-registrations

Last but not least, if you have wordpress integrated they might be sneaking though there even if you have the links to it's registration page disabled, it still leaves the api open (you'd have to physically rename/remove wp-login.php)"

oh I see stopforumspam plugin stupidly calls itself "validator"
It doesn't use sessions so not sure how it's affecting Human Test so I will have to look into it

I don't think this affects your problem but I just posted Human Test 0.9.1 which fixes a different problem

    Hi ck,

I did upgrade to Human Test 0.9.1, I played around with the stopforumspam and for whatever reason when that is activated Human Test doesn't work. So for now I am not going to use stopforumspam.

    Thanks.
