   Is there a working chat plugin for bbpress 1.0.1 so that existing registred users can log in?

   I developed a prototype of a chat plugin for bbPress a year ago but it's not suitable for release and won't be for quite some time (if ever).

   No other chat exists but you could probably use an existing program and modify it.

   what is the chat plugin based on? phpfreechat or ajax chat (the two most popular ones i can think of)?

   can you perhaps just modify a bit of code so that the chat client will simply recognise login names (even if it requires wordpress cookie integration)???
