   Does this work?

   I only want the target=_blank part, but nothing is happening when I try this plugin. It's activating ok, but nothing else.

   Is it a change in bbpress since that post?

   Ah, apparently I didn't think of when bbPress auto-converts http to links and now bbcode.

   To fix the issue, change this line:

   add_filter('pre_post', 'bb_target_blank');

   to this:

   add_filter('post_text', 'bb_target_blank',255);
