    The most actual translation (bbP 1.0.2) of bbPress in formal German ("Sie"-Anrede) is available for free download here:

    For the funny folks who uses the trunk version, a translation of bbP 1.1-alpha-2530 is available too, but it does not match my own quality standards

    minnkyaw, follow the same instructions as WordPress

    http://codex.wordpress.org/Translating_WordPress#Translating_With_Poedit

    but use the bbpress .pot file
    http://svn.automattic.com/bbpress-i18n/pot/tags/1.0.2/

    then once you have a .mo file you can follow the directions in the first post on this topic

    I found this website which may be able to help you, even though it's not bbPress but wordpress - the translation is handled the same way. They volunteered on the WordPress Codex http://www.myanmapress.com/

    Same way you do normally. See the first post for instructions.

    Then edit your bb-config.php file and see the bottom for instructions on changing the language via define( 'BB_LANG', '' );

    Is there a way to make a .po file from a .mo file other than using the command line? I'm not familiar with that. Have tried it using the Terminal application on my Mac, but no result.

    Need the Dutch translation (nl_NL) for a standalone bbPress forum.

    Thanks!

    Walt did you need to add phrases?

    If the existing .mo isn't good enough I can create the po for you to edit.

    PO

    MO

    Unfortunately I am not familiar with mac tools but this format is so popular now there should be something out there.
