I uploaded/activated the bbPress Polls plugin OK, but don't see any options to create a poll or anything. Is there code that needs to be placed in the templates? What am I missing?

    Thanks

My bad...I now see the poll question only shows up after new topic has been submitted.

    Thanks

You can adjust how many hours after a topic is created that it will have the option to create a poll. The default is just a few hours but you can increase it to days or even weeks if so desired.

I tried to install the Poll-Plugin according to the Readme (Copying the bb_polls.php to my-plugins and activating in the admin area). The activation succeeded and I also get the Form to add a new Poll. But when I press [Submit] I return to exactly the same page where I can do the last step again. What did I do wrong? Is something required to use the plugin which is not mentioned on the Website?

jonny I'm sorry I somehow missed your question.
I suspect there is a conflict with one of your other plugins.

Please be sure to try the latest version of bb-polls (0.31 at this time) and if it still doesn't work correctly, please let me know what other plugins you use.

    Hi _ck_,
I updated to version 0.31 and now I can vote on the Polls. -> Thank you.

For further improvement of your plugin: These Warnings occured in my case:

Warning: Missing argument 1 for bb_polls_save_poll_setup() in /mnt/web6/22/11/51470011/htdocs/pinae/dreh/bbpress/my-plugins/bb-polls.php on line 285

Warning: Cannot modify header information - headers already sent by (output started at /mnt/web6/22/11/51470011/htdocs/pinae/dreh/bbpress/my-plugins/bb-polls.php:285) in /mnt/web6/22/11/51470011/htdocs/pinae/dreh/bbpress/bb-includes/pluggable.php on line 164

My site is on Webspace of Strato and the other Plugin I use is Post Notification version 1.3. I pached the Post Notification-Plugin to send the contents of the new Post in the notification Message. I hope this helps...

P.S. Your plugin is quite nice.

"Headers already sent" is often caused by editing plugins and accidentally putting whitespace (spaces, newlines) at the end (or beginning) after the ?>

Be sure you didn't do that on bb-polls.php (or any other plugin/template).

I'll be adding a real admin menu to bb-polls within a week or two so no more editing will be necessary to help solve this common mistake.

I installed .31 and got the "headers already sent" and never touched the php file for this. Not sure if I've edited other plugins. Only file I've touched is to add the "report" link for bad posts.

It's possible an error is being generated on your setup and that's being sent before the headers. It may be hidden in the page and you can't see it. Do a "view source" on a page with the "headers" message and see if you spot any other warnings near the top.

If you can tell me more about your setup (what version of PHP, what kind of server) or let me see your website, I might be able to tell you more.
