BB-attachements not working (27 posts)

  1. Backup everything, both DB and your files.

    Then install 1.0a6 over 1.0 RC1

I am uncertain if there are db changes but I don't think so.

  3. I have it working on alpha 5,
I think it works on alpha 6 but definitely not RC1 or RC2

I say 0.9 so people don't get the wrong idea and thing alpha 5 or 6 is = RC1 or RC2

  4. Ahhh - Well at least that explains it. Apologies for missing the spec and making assumptions and thanks for your other awesome extensions that do work in the RC.

I guess I'll wait for a final version then. I take it there's nothing obvious that might be the problem in the RC that I could have a look at myself?

Massbase, please do let me know how the downgrade works out. I'm loath to run an Alpha build as I do have my forum in semi-production, but attachments would be the dogs nuts, so to speak.

  5. Ian, I don't think I will downgrade to alpha 6, my whole template is hacked apart to run on RC1, infact im not even going to upgrade to RC2, just incase. worked far too long on the template, to risk it for glitches. But I am too going to wait for it, it looks like an awesome plugin.

  6. The differences between alpha 6 and RC1 are not significant.
RC1 is essentially alpha 7, Sam just wanted to make it sound fancy and more final.

Your RC1 template should run on alpha 6 in theory.
Make sure you back it up first. Also make sure you are not just re-using the same kakumei directory name and that you made your own under \my-templates\

I should note we don't know for certain that bb-attachments isn't working for you because you are using RC1, it may be another problem.

  7. Would I have to remove and re-configure all of my already installed plugins?.. i.e. like bb-signatures, where the css is done in the admin..
