I have a new and fresh bbpress and bb attachments installation.
bb-attachments folder is outside WEBDOCUMENSROOT + chmod 777.
If I upload bbpress stays silent, but there are no icons and no uploaded files . . . .

Check to make sure the bb-attachments mysql table was created, this is a problem on some hosts apparently.

thnaks for your quick reply. There was no table. I found the sql statement in you php code and used it to create the table. But still it does not work. I have Version 1.0 bbress and Version 0.2.7 of your PlugIn.
How can I trace/debug what happens?

None of my plugins are supported on 1.0 until December at the soonest.

I simply do not have the time to debug 60+ plugins for bbPress 1.0 until later this year, especially since 1.0 keeps changing and will undoubtedly change some more by the end of the year.
I warned people for months not to upgrade to 1.0, apparently to no avail.

now I have switched back and installed bbpress 0.9.0.4.
Plus your actual PlgIn getting an "mime type" error while uploading a PDF or a PNG file . . .
I am running on Mac OS X Leopard and "file" command is there.
Please help me with that.

I am having the same image upload issues as Alex above and I have NO experience with MYSQL tables. I dont even know where to look for them on the server?!?
