Hi, I just installed the latest version of bbpress (1.0.2) in a subdomain to my blog (WP 3.0.1) and did the integration steps.

Now I have 404 pages on all posts and pages except the front page...

    What to do?

I've tried to switch permalinks back and forth. No success.

    site is here: Vedvarende energi
    forum is here: Forum.vedvarende-energi.dk

    Any feedback is most welcome!

If bbpress is in a sub domain under your wordpress there is no way it could affect wordpress.

Unless of course you changed the .htaccess file that controls wordpress, either by hand or the control panel that you used to make the sub-domain.

Restore the htaccess that wordpress originally used (or recreate it).

ok - restored the .htaccess file. No luck...

RSS feed pushes out snippets, so I figure it is a permalink issue of sorts... I fear that t´something has gone awry in the database setup...

Your categories seem to work fine

I don't understand why your wp posts end in .php (or at least seem to)

I doubt anything from the bbpress side could be breaking wp pages. If you changed any WP settings, htaccess, or added plugins, deactivate/remove them (on the WP side).

Yes. it is strange. My problem is that going in to phpmyadmin to correct the problem is a bit out of my league...

the .php ending is 'fake' or at least created using the custom permalink function.

Did you install any plugins into WordPress during the integration?

Because they should be deactivated if so.

nope. but I have tried to deactivate all plugins. No luck.

trying to locate where in the database WordPress stores permalink information.

I am not sure what else to tell you.

What I would do if it was my install would be to temporarily turn off pretty permalinks in WP and see if you can still access the posts on the blog.

Assuming that works, I'd turn back on permalinks.

I would generate new htaccess rules from wordpress and also look at any htaccess file that may be above the wordpress install for any strange reason.

You should temporarily rename the bbpress folder so it's not there at all, though I don't see how rules lower than the wordpress directory could interfere unless you are trying to use the same directory name inside of WordPress for a path to posts.

    Hi CK,
    and thanks for your suggestions.

I've tried turning off pretty premalinks. no luck.
I've uploaded a fresh htaccess with only the rewrite rules found on wordpress.org. no luck.

the wordpress installation is in the root. The forum is in a subdomain. Do you think renaming stuff here would help?

    your help is much appreciated!
