Thank you for making this plugin.

However, my human test for bbpress plugin is only asking

How much does 0+0?

Only just 0+0

Always just 0+0

I saw some bbpress forums that run this plugin very successfully, so I guess my problem can be resolved, too. Thank you!

I would like to do a cleanup of the tag section. For years I haven't done this and haven't paid attention to how badly chosen tag names many of my forum's topics have. Unique tag names bother me the most - many people don't seem to understand a tag's role and simply enter the topic name once again.

Tags can be removed or merged in the Admin section. What concerns me is the way BBPress deals with no longer found tags - it redirects to the main /tags page. Wouldn't it be better to have a custom 404 error page returned in this case? I know this is the "official" recommendation for pages no longer found on a server. My concern comes especially from how search engines view one method or another of dealing with this issue. And I would have to remove several hundred pages which are currently indexed by the main SEs.

If I decide to set up a 404 error page how do I overrite the default redirect?

Thanks for any advice/opinions.

I have BBPress version 0.9.0.2 and I just noticed that there seems to be a 250 topic limitation for topics displayed per forum. When topic 251 is posted the oldest topic in line is removed. Actually, the topic itself isn't removed, but the link to the topic is. I couldn't find a setting for this. Have others experienced this limitation and how did you fix it?

Hello,
I have BBPress 0.9.0.2 installed on one of my websites. I also have some security/anti spam plugins activated - Human test, Enhanced registration, Block long queries, Kill URL and Akismet 1.0. I believe the latter came integrated with BBPress. Akismet does a fairly good job blocking spam messages, but some spammers still manage to post their ads. I just loaded and tried to activate the latest Akismet version (2.5.5)and I get an error message ("Plugin could not be activated; it produced a Fatal Error."). I wonder if upgrading Akismet is even possible for BBPress versions before 1.0 and if so, if it would be more efficient in blocking spam.

Thanks.

Is there a plugin for bbPress 1.1 that I could use so users could flag inappropriate posts and alert the keymaster of these posts? I have been looking but haven't found anything.

Please feel free to show off your bbPress website by linking it in this topic.

(also tell everyone what it's about)

Very simple rules:

You may only post a single link per post.

You may only post a few sites (at moderator's discretion).

No spamming! Just a short description what it's about.

We reserve the right to remove any post for any reason.
If your site deals with illegal or questionable activity please don't bother to list it.
We also have a very low tolerance of "made for Adsense" sites, so please keep that in mind.

Hello, i am using bbpress along side a member plugin-digital access pass. I attempted to put the following at the head of the bbpress.php file in order to block the forum from any non-members.

< ?php
include_once "/dap/dap-config.php";

if( !Dap_Session::isLoggedIn() ) {
header("Location: /dap/login.php");
exit;
}
?>

The only issue is that it blocked the entire site and not just bbpress. Trying to see if anyone has a suggestion for me--to protect the forum from non-logged in users. thanks

Howdy! _ck_ hope you're fine today.
I've a silly question, wondering if you can help me.

I want to change username to email address on register-success.php page. Something like from

<p><?php printf(__('Your registration as %s was successful. Within a few minutes you should receive an email with your password.'), $user_login) ?></p>

to

<p><?php printf(__('Your registration with {Email Address] was successful. Within a few minutes you should receive an email with your password.'), $user_login) ?></p>

Is it possible to show email instead of username? Any idea?

Thanks Again!
